Energy Efficient buildings
Hageman Builders, LLC has been building energy efficient homes and businesses since before the days they were called that. They were called "Super Good Sense Homes."
Today, we use a product called "Structural Insulated Panels (SIPS).
We purchase this product from Enercept, an environmentally conscious company that encourages the practice of "reduce, reuse and recycle."
- The OSB sheathing is derived from fast growth, replaceable tree crops
- The EPS foam insulation used in Enercept panels does not contain any CFCs, HCFC's, formaldehyde and does not produce harmful off-gassing.
- All waste foam in the plant is recycled for reuse. Enercept basement panels use up to 80% recycled EPS foam.
- Enercept homes use an average of 50% less energy than conventionally framed homes.
- The air tightness of an Enercept structure prevents allergens and dust from penetrating the shell, providing a healhtier living environment with the use of an air to air exchange system.
- The tight shell is also an excellent sound insulator.
