Q: Do I have to own land to work with Hageman Builders, LLC?

A: No, we have several land package choices if you are looking for a quality built home but don't yet own property. We can help you find a suitable piece of land, or make architectural design recommendations that best suit the topography of your own land. Hageman Builders, LLC is the right choice to help you build your dream home.

Q: Am I limited in my choice of house plans?

A: No. If you already know what you want, we can draw you a set of home plans from your sketch on notebook paper, or tweak a set of architectural designs to meet your needs. If you can dream it, we can build it. And if you don't yet know what your dream home looks like, we have a full selection of designs to choose from. We can help you find the right home that fits your budget and your lifestyle.

Q: I have talked to some contractors who have quoted me a really low price per square foot. How do they compare with Hageman Builders, LLC?

A: Some of our competitors try to win the bid by lowballing their estimates, because they don't include the cost of standard fixtures like built-in lighting, driveways, paint, or bathroom fixtures in their bid. They then pad in these extra costs after the fact, pushing the project over the initial estimate and the homeowner's budget. Hageman Builders, LLC believes in giving you a real estimate that reflects the total cost of your finished home, not just a shell. You'll find that when the sawdust has settled and your home is move-in ready, our price per square foot measures up with our competitors. A: Hageman Builders, LLC can handle all phases of your construction project. Whether you are remodeling an existing structure, adding on, or starting from the ground up, our experienced crew can do it all.

Q: I live within the boundaries of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. Are you able to meet the tight regulations of building in this area?

A: Hageman Builders, LLC was one of the first builders to go through Gorge Scenic Planning approval process, and we've successfully done so 11 times so far. We can help you walk through the labyrinth of rules and regulations and make recommendations for you to help your home pass the scrutiny of this area.

Q: I am interested in building an energy efficient home. Can you help?

A: Hageman Builders, LLC has been building energy efficient homes since before anyone called them that. We started building energy efficient homes back in the 80's. It was called  the SUPER GOOD SENSE HOME program. We built over a dozen with those standards. We were also one of the first to build Structural Insulated Panels (SIP) panel homes or foam homes. We have built over 20, we've lived in 2, and grandma lived in one. Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) will make your home more energy efficient and 2½ times stronger. Our building construction and designs are cost-efficient and energy-efficient.

If you are doing a remodel, we are knowledgeable about local programs designed to aid homeowners in enhancing the energy-efficiency of their homes. We can talk with you about your home's needs, and make recommendations to you to improve the energy-efficiency of your existing home.

Q: You say you guarantee your work. What kind of guarantee do you offer?

A: We offer a Builder Buyer warranty.

Q: Do you work with local suppliers?

A: You bet. The Hageman family and our crew live and work in the Columbia River Gorge. We use local suppliers whenever possible, as much as possible. We are committed to building a stronger community, one building at a time.
